Whistleblower Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to encourage disclosures of wrongdoing and to ensure that individuals who disclose wrongdoing can do so safely, securely and with confidence that they will be protected and supported according to this Policy.

This Policy sets out information about:

  • the disclosures that qualify for protection under the Whistleblower Protection Scheme

  • the protections available to whistleblowers, including protections under the Whistleblower Protection Scheme

  • the persons to whom disclosures under the Whistleblower Protection Scheme may be made, and how

  • how DOSCEL will support whistleblowers and protect them from detriment

  • how DOSCEL will investigate disclosures that qualify for protection

  • how DOSCEL will ensure fair treatment of DOSCEL employees who are mentioned in disclosures that qualify for protection, or to whom such disclosures relate

  • how this Policy is to be made available to officers and employees of DOSCEL.

If you wish to make a disclosure under the Whistleblower Protection Scheme, you can contact any of the 'eligible recipients' listed in the Whistleblower Policy. You are encouraged to initially contact the Whistleblower Protection Officers. Their names and contact details are as follows:

Whistleblower Protection Officers

The Whistleblower Protection Officers can also receive disclosures outside of business hours via email.


Whistleblower Disclosure Acknowledgment

To ensure the identity of an eligible whistleblower remains protected when a disclosure is made to an eligible recipient, a Whistleblower Disclosure Acknowledgment form has been developed. Eligible recipients are required to request that an eligible whistleblower sign this document at the time a disclosure is made
