Diploma of Teaching (Primary); Bachelor of Education (Primary); Master of Education (Melbourne University); Master of Education - Mathematics Education (Australian Catholic University). 

*Carole is on leave during 2017 and will return to the Office in 2018.

Carole has worked for more than twenty-five years in Catholic Education. She has had experience in teaching children from Prep to Grade 6. Her leadership roles have focussed on supporting and promoting collaborative learning communities in the pursuit of successful literacy and numeracy learning for all children.

In 2003, Carole taught for the year in the UK on an International Teaching Exchange.

Carole is both a trained Reading Recovery teacher and EMU specialist. She has a great interest in and passion for helping to meet the needs of children who are experiencing difficulty in learning.

Carole has recently completed her second Master of Education degree focussing on meeting the diverse needs of learners in Numeracy. She also completed qualifications to become a Extending Mathematical Understanding Professional Learning Leader.

Carole works to:

  • Train new teachers as Extending Mathematical Understanding (EMU) Intervention Specialists
  • Support all teachers implementing the EMU Intervention program
  • Assist with the ongoing professional development of EMU teachers
  • Support Numeracy development strategies across the Diocese
