About the School Nagle Bairnsdale Neville Powles

Nagle College is located on the outskirts of Bairnsdale, Victoria. The College forms a Catholic education precinct with St Mary’s Primary School. The College was founded in 1958 by the Presentation Sisters and has served the educational needs of young men and women of the East Gippsland region for over 50 years.

Nagle College is a diocesan school that aims to support parents in educating their sons and daughters within the Catholic tradition and the spirit of its founders, Nano Nagle and St John Bosco.

Nagle College is a dynamic, hope-filled learning community, pursuing personal excellence and self-discovery for all students within a nurturing Catholic community in the Salesian tradition.

Situated on 40 hectares adjacent to the Mitchell River, Nagle College can boast a unique learning environment. The ANZAC Memorial and the recently developed Hope Garden, together with the St John Bosco Chapel, provide areas for reflection, renewal and quiet solitude when required.

Nagle College aims to foster a desire for knowledge, an excitement for learning, independence in thinking and a commitment to the community. We provide a curriculum that aims to meet the needs of all students and cater for the myriad of educational and vocational pathways available to them in a challenging, enriching and supportive learning environment.

A wide range of co-curricula activities are available to our students both within and outside normal school hours. These can include the Nagle Music Program; Drama Club; the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme; International Cultural Tours; Ski/snowboarding Camps; Equestrian Sports; Community Service; and sporting teams/groups.
