About the School

St Mary's Catholic Primary School is located in Yarram in the southern part of Victoria. St Mary's enrols approximately 67 students from the township and surrounding areas. The school was founded in 1918 by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. We believe that students learning is nutured in an encouraging, stimulating and supportive environment.  Our core curriculum is based on best practice in current trends.  We provide intervention programs to cater for the individual needs of students in our care.  We offer many opportunities for young people to participate in a range of activities, including many extra-curricular activities. The school is currently expanding its facilities, including a new multi-purpose building that will be opened in 2010, enabling us to enhance our creative arts and fitness programs. The grounds have also been upgraded with the installation of a multi-purpose court, a soft-fall playground area and synthetic grass cricket pitch. The wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance at St Mary's. Our parent community are always welcome at the school and are involved in many of our school activities. Visit the school website.
