The principal of a new Catholic primary school opening in Warragul has been announced. Mr Justin Greenwood will take up his role at the new school, St Angela of the Cross Primary School, in July 2020.

Mr Greenwood has extensive experience as a Catholic educator and school leader, and is currently the principal of St John the Baptist Primary School in Koo Wee Rup.

“I’m looking forward to building a Catholic school with a strong learning agenda, and a safe and vibrant community inspired by the service of St Angela of the Cross, for the people of Warragul,” Mr Greenwood said.

Director of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Sale, Ms Maria Kirkwood, congratulated Mr Greenwood on his appointment.

“Justin is an outstanding school principal. His commitment to enlivening faith education and enhancing learning opportunities for all students through expert teaching practices will create an excellent foundation for the school. I look forward to supporting him as he works to create a safe and nurturing environment, filled with hope and supported by high expectations for our students and their families,” she said.
