1 June, 2018

Congratulations Zane Hyde. St Peter’s College Cranbourne. Study score of 50 in Biology.

The Premier’s VCE Awards recognises students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education. The prestigious awards ceremony, held on Tuesday 15 May, saw Education Minister James Merlino present 320 awards to 287 students who were recognised for their outstanding academic results.

Zane Hyde, St Peter’s College 2017 Dux, with an ATAR Score of 99.4 was honoured with one of the seven Biology Study Awards, with his result of 50 for this subject.

Chris Black, St Peter’s College Principal states “Zane was an exemplary student at St Peter’s College, who from his early years always ensured he applied himself to the very best of his ability. His Year 9 teachers commented on the need for extension, and loved that Zane challenged and asked questions of them”.

He goes on to say “Zane epitomises the College Vision for Active Learning. He was self-motivated, always working well with his teachers, compelling his teachers to read up and study harder as to be able to answer Zane’s questions”.

“Despite his natural talent and extreme work ethic, Zane has remained an extremely humble and modest young man”.

Ms Maria Kirkwood, Director of Catholic Education – Diocese of Sale, “I congratulate Zane on this Award”.
