    Technology is moving faster than ever and children and young people are increasing their capability to use it. The internet is accessible through many devices including smart phones and tablets. Devices such as these are becoming ubiquitous and allow for young people to be immersed in an online world.   

    The internet provides easy access to a variety of resources and along with the many advantages, there are many  possible disadvantages and dangers. Privacy in an online world is a real issue. Young people, parents and teachers can all benefit from being aware of the dangers and taking measures to minimise the potential for harm. Education is the key.
